KAREN MA THERAPY
Psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families.
APPROACH
My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that exploring the taken-for-granted and embracing complexity can open up the imaginative possibilities
of people’s lives.
While there is no limit to what we can talk about, some issues that I work with frequently include:

APPROACH
My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that exploring the taken-for-granted and embracing complexity can open up the imaginative possibilities
of people’s lives.
With this spirit of imagination in mind, I welcome the many
different ways therapy may unfold for you —there is no generalized set of ideas about who you are and how you should be. Through speech, often things that have never been put into words, you can develop richer understandings of your life and
your preferred ways of being, evolving, and flourishing.
While there is no limit to what we can talk about, some issues that I work with frequently include:
— Anxiet(ies)
— Creative practices
— Depression
— Exploring and authoring desire
— Feelings of failure or falling behind in so-called meritocracy
— Impacts of gender normativities and patriarchy
— Life transitions
— Navigating relationship challenges
— Outsiderness and living differently
— Perfectionism and stuckness
— Racism and totalizing discourses of racial identity
— Work stress and dissatisfaction

My fee is $180 for both individual and multi-person sessions. A portion of my practice is dedicated to working with people who need a sliding scale fee. We can discuss what a sustainable fee would be for you during our initial consultation call.

Typically, I meet with people on a weekly basis. Less frequent meetings will depend on my
availability and whether it is an appropriate level of care for the change you seek. I work in an open-ended way but throughout our time together
