APPROACH
My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that exploring the taken-for-granted and embracing complexity can open up the imaginative possibilities
of people’s lives.
With this spirit of imagination in mind, I welcome the many
different ways that therapy may unfold with clients. I am committed to
collaborative practices which means that I do not start from a generalized set of ideas about who you are and how you should be. Through conversation, we can develop rich understandings about what is going on in your life and
your preferred ways of being, evolving, and flourishing.
While there is no limit to what we can talk about some issues that I work with frequently include:
— Anxiet(ies)
— Creative practices
— Depression
— Exploring and authoring desire
— Feelings of failure or falling behind in so-called meritocracy
— Life transitions
— Navigating relationship challenges
— Outsiderness and living differently
— Perfectionism and stuckness
— Problems with gender normativities and patriarchy
— Racism and totalizing discourses of racial identity
— Work stress and dissatisfaction
